An IIM (Ahmedabad) alumnus with 15 years of experience in the formal sector, Mr. Anil Kumar Singh is the impetus behind the evolution of NEED as a microfinance institution. With a broad vision to promote self-reliance through social-economic and political upliftment, Mr. Singh resigned from the in 1995. Being an advocate of rural development through skill and entrepreneurship development, he founded NLMPL (NEED Livelihood Microfinance Pvt. Ltd.) in 2015. The company received NBFC MFI status from RBI in the year 2017. Mr. Singh has been selected as a lifetime member of the Ashoka Global Fellowship Program and is a Fellow of the UK based initiative Management in Development (MIND).He has been awarded as “Best Citizen of India” in recognition of his exceptional caliber and outstanding performance in the social sector.
Prof. Prakash Singh bagged his Ph.D. from the renowned Birla Institute of Technology, Pilani after completing his MBA from the Department of Management Studies, Lucknow. He is currently the Chairman of Financial Aid and International Linkages Division and also the Chairman of Purchase and Service Contracts Committee at IIM, Lucknow.
Mrs. Shruti Richa after completing her graduation from IT College, Lucknow went on to pursue 2 years Certified Course on Financial Analyst, a joint programme of NITIE & CRISIL, Mumbai. She also worked for 3 years in CRISIL, HQ, Mumbai as Credit Analyst and as an Assistant Manager in Financial Technologies Limited.
A graduate from IIT (Kharagpur), Mr. Vivek Chauhan is a member of Global Association of Risk Professional (GARP). He is also in possession of regulatory approval from Financial Conduct Authority, UK for working in public markets during his tenure as Vice President in Deutsche Bank London as Charted Financial analyst. Mr. Chauhan has been working in the financial sector for the past 6 years with specialization in global markets and derivatives.
